Our company is a new private hire car company based in Southampton. Our aim is to provide our customers with a very professional, friendly and reliable service. Our services include 24/7 hour door-to-door service in the Southampton area and transport to or from the following areas: Totton, Eastleigh, Chandler’s Ford, Fair Oak, Hedge End, Winchester and others. After a hectic (but enjoyable) week's holiday in Rome, the prospect of finishing our holiday with a coach or train journey from Heathrow to Southampton didn't thrill us. A friend recommended GVR Premium Travel to us thankfully. On-line booking was easy, responses were quick, and communication in general was great. Before we left Fiumicino we knew where our driver was going to be when we arrived at Heathrow, and he was tracking our flight so he knew where we were as well! He contacted us when we landed to arrange meeting and, as promised, was by the arrival gate to help with taking our baggage to the car. The journey to Southampton was brisk, smooth, and comfortable in the best smelling Mercedes I've ever travelled in, and we arrived in perfect time to connect with our ferry to the Isle of Wight. I have to say that Ionel is an extremely personable guy, a good driver, smart, polite, and very professional. As you can tell, my opinion of GVR Premium Travel is extremely high and I am happy to give them my recommendation. I will use them again, and so should you. As during very busy periods we might be fully booked, we strongly advise to book your journeys in advance to avoid unavailable vehicles from our end. This will give us enough time to advice you and arrange required transfer with one of our partner drivers.
Yes , Unfortunately we don’t accept cash and you need to make the payment in advance . We accept all major bank debit and credit cards.
For Local pickups we offer 15min free waiting time. For Airport pickups we offer 60 minutes free waiting time. After free waiting time we charge extra fee for additional waiting time accordingly to actual pickup time – this fee depends on booking class which is explained in our Terms and Conditions. Additional parking fee will be charged accordingly – this depends on the airport and actual parking charge = everything above £5.
For all Airport Pickups meet and greet service is included in the price. Our chauffeur will wait in designated area in arrivals hall with a name board. Information about chauffeur / vehicle will be sent to you prior to the journey for easy communication.
Normally you should aim to arrive 2-3 hours before your flight unless you are on a domestic flight. But always check this with your airline.
